My Story
From Diagnosis to Discovery: My Journey with Graves’ Disease
In early 2023, my world changed when I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease and Thyroid Eye Disease. I was 258 pounds, struggling with intense inflammation, and facing a medical crossroad: my doctors wanted to remove my thyroid entirely. I knew there had to be another way—a way to find the root cause rather than just masking the symptoms.
I decided to take my health into my own hands, starting with what was on my plate. By researching anti-inflammatory living, cutting out harmful ingredients, and managing my caloric intake, I began to see a transformation I never thought possible.
Today, I weigh 186 pounds and counting. My inflammation is at an all-time low, and my eyes are finally returning to normal. Most importantly, I’ve worked with my body to lower my medication from 50mg to just 5mg.
I’m sharing my journey and my recipes here to show you one thing: Just because a doctor says you’re at a dead end, doesn’t mean you have to be. You have the power to advocate for your health and find a path to wellness that works for you.
